For the past 33 years, the Reach For A Dream Foundation has brought hope, joy and healing to countless South African children. These children, between the ages of 3 and 18 years, have used their dreams to fight life-threatening illnesses such as cancer and leukaemia, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, renal failure and various blood disorders.
Reach For A Dream enriches children’s lives by making dreams come true, distracting them from the needles, medication and hospital environment. These children are under extreme pressure to deal with their challenges in life and are in desperate need of encouragement. In addition, Reach For A Dream offers these children a magical moment to regain their childhood that is being lost to an illness.

The limited-edition Willard® DREAM Battery range follows in a tradition of limited-edition batteries that Willard® has introduced over the years. Its first limited-edition battery was the Pink battery. The objective of this limited-edition battery was to increase the awareness of Breast Cancer awareness in conjunction with the well-recognised PinkDrive foundation.
The Rhino battery, camo-coloured and resilient, came next, and was developed to cope with the harsh conditions faced by game rangers and their vehicles as they continuously assist to protect South Africa’s endangered rhinos.
The limited-edition Red battery, in conjunction with SANBS, highlighted the importance of donating blood and many responded enthusiastically to the call to action.
The most recent limited-edition battery was the Willard® BLUE battery whose principal message was to highlight the threat posed by plastic to our oceans and beaches, and to encourage the recycling of plastic.
